Tuition fee for either seminar: $750 per person.
Tuition fee does not cover travel, accommodations, or Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).

In addition to the seminars and implementation plan created by each team, the tuition fee includes a beautifully designed and generous kit of materials:

  • The Rethinking School Lunch guide and curriculum resources
  • Three modules of the LiFE curriculum (Growing Food, Farm to Table & Beyond, and Choice, Control, & Change)
  • Copies of Ecoliteracy: Educating Our Children for a Sustainable World, edited by Michael K. Stone and Zenobia Barlow
  • Copies of Getting Started: A Guide to Creating Gardens as Outdoor Classrooms, designed and published by the Center for Ecoliteracy in collaboration with Life Lab Science Program
  • One copy per team of Nutrition Education: Linking Research, Theory, and Practice, by Isobel Contento

Tuition fees also cover:

  • Field trips during the session


June 22-27 in San Anselmo, California


Fees
Residential fee: $1,250

(Includes $750 tuition and $500 housing. Meals are included.)

Non-residential fee: $975
(Includes $750 tuition and $225 meals.)

Meals will feature fresh, prepared-from-scratch food, much harvested from the school gardens or other local, sustainable sources. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the Institute beginning with Sunday dinner June 22 through Thursday lunch June 27.

 

August 9-13 in New York, New York

Fees
Tuition Fee: $750

Housing Fee: $550 plus tax
Includes Friday night August 8 through Tuesday night August 12.

Estimated cost for non-residential accommodations is $750 in New York City.

Meals will include dinner on Friday night, August 8. Breakfast and lunches will be prepared and served in the EarthFriends room at Teachers College, using fresh and local foods.


Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships will be available for teams and members of school communities demonstrating need. For scholarship information, please indicate your needs in the "Other Comments" section of the application form.
